As Head of Green Gas Solutions, Annabel places engineering excellence at the forefront of all initiatives. She holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, as well as a Chartered Engineer with both IGEM and IMechE. Her multifaceted experience spans project delivery, maintenance, and design, including senior leadership roles at SGN and Gatwick Airport. Annabel is committed to advancing a sustainable future through engineering, exemplified by her service as Vice Chair of the IMechE Oil, Gas and Chemical Committee, STEM ambassador, and SGN Women’s Committee sponsor.

Alan leads SGN CS’s Biomethane Projects with over four decades of gas industry expertise and a strong academic foundation in Engineering and Project Management. A recognised pioneer in UK biomethane development since 2009, he led the nation’s first award-winning biomethane project at Didcot. His portfolio includes the pioneering Portsdown Hill Gas Injection Facility and current projects with Thames Water and Acorn Bioenergy. Recognised as IGEM Engineer of the Year and ADBA Hero of the Year, Alan brings deep insight and leadership to the sector, contributing to industry advisory boards and driving innovation in sustainable gas solutions.

Craig is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying, awarded in 2006. He brings a broad spectrum of commercial experience from the construction, rail, and civil engineering sectors across both UK and international projects. Since joining GGS in 2019, Craig has focused on the commercial delivery of biomethane projects, with particular expertise in contract implementation and management. His work includes developing tailored agreements that reflect individual client requirements, ensuring commercial alignment and project success.

Duncan is Operations and Contracts Manager at GGS, bringing over three decades of experience in the gas industry. He began his career in 1992 as a British Gas apprentice and has since held a range of roles across operations, project delivery, and commercial management. Holding a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Management Studies, Duncan joined the biomethane team in 2014 and has contributed to a broad spectrum of projects. He currently oversees the asset management and operation of the company’s biomethane plant portfolio, ensuring reliable, efficient performance under GGS’s ownership and stewardship.

Arrol, North Area Operations Manager at GGS, brings extensive expertise in biomethane plant technology and maintenance. A qualified Mechanical Engineer, he began his career in the Royal Navy before moving into the global biogas sector. Working with a leading biogas upgrader OEM, he gained hands-on experience constructing, commissioning, and servicing plants worldwide. Since joining Green Gas Solutions in 2022, Arrol has applied his deep knowledge of UK biogas upgrader systems to support operational excellence. Recognised as an authority on plant maintenance and performance, he plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of assets across the northern region.

Lee is Southern Area Operations Manager at GGS, with a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on expertise across the gas infrastructure spectrum. He began his career in 2010 as an SGN apprentice, progressing through the maintenance team where he worked on a wide range of gas assets—from low-pressure customer supplies to NTS offtakes. In 2022, Lee joined Green Gas Solutions as a Senior Operations Technician, bringing his technical acumen to the biomethane sector. His recent appointment as Southern Area Ops Manager reflects his leadership, operational depth, and commitment to delivering safe and reliable plant performance.

Ethan is an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with a strong background in the service and commissioning of diverse grid entry units. Since joining Green Gas Solutions in 2019, he has played a key role in the delivery of numerous biomethane projects and has led the Operations team in the South region. His technical proficiency now spans the full scope of gas-to-grid installations, and he plays a central role in commissioning activities across all new projects. Ethan’s depth of expertise and hands-on experience ensure safe, efficient, and high-performing outcomes from initial installation through to ongoing operations.

Lewis has over a decade of experience in the UK gas industry, having held a range of commercial and business development roles across metering, maintenance, and innovation. His track record includes contributing to the establishment of Murphy Utility Assets and supporting the development of the AI-powered safety platform FYLD. Since joining the biomethane team in 2021, Lewis has played an instrumental role in securing key projects and now leads on the financial and contractual management of active sites. He also supports strategic growth opportunities, helping to shape the continued expansion of Green Gas Solutions’ project portfolio.

Terry is a highly skilled engineering professional with a wealth of expertise across the Renewable Energy, Offshore Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Marine sectors. Active in the biomethane industry since 2016, he has worked extensively in both the UK and international markets. Since joining the team in 2018 as Biomethane Technical Manager, Terry has overseen the safe operation and maintenance of SGN Commercial Services’ biomethane facilities nationwide. His longstanding involvement in project delivery—both on-site and office-based—has naturally led to his current role as Project Manager, where he leads some of the company’s most high-profile biomethane upgrading and injection schemes.

Paul is a Chartered Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with over 30 years of expertise across the Chemical, Oil & Gas (including Biomethane to Grid), and Health Care industries. His technical proficiency is complemented by a broad range of management skills, well-suited to the delivery of multidiscipline design, development, and construction projects. Paul has a thorough understanding of industrial standards, materials, equipment, and regulatory requirements, ensuring robust compliance and quality. His responsibilities have spanned the full project lifecycle—from concept design to completion—including the leadership of engineering teams and site workforce to ensure projects are delivered on specification, on time, and to the highest standard.

Owen is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with 20 years of experience spanning consultancy and engineering leadership roles. He has delivered complex multidisciplinary projects across the water sector for UK and international clients, leading teams and managing designs from concept through to implementation. With a strong foundation in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, Owen went on to lead the technical rollout of biomethane projects for both Thames Water and Yorkshire Water. He joined GGS in September 2023, bringing strategic insight and technical leadership to support the growth of the biomethane project portfolio.

With extensive knowledge of industry regulations and legislative frameworks, he ensures that company systems and processes align with evolving compliance standards. He plays a key role in embedding a strong safety culture, implementing monitoring systems that proactively manage risk and provide assurance across all business functions. Through his regulatory insight and commitment to best practice, Saravanan supports the delivery of outcomes that are efficient, dependable, and fully compliant.
